Discover Flatiron Walking Tour
Soak up some sun and feast on a rich repast of NYC history during a 90-minute walking tour highlighting the Flatiron District's structural icons. Guides for the expedition—one of whom is a historian and urban archivist—relate the stories of the area and its landmarks, including the New York Life Building, the MetLife clock tower, the New York State Supreme Court appellate courthouse and, of course, the Flatiron Building. The tour takes place every Sunday; attendees meet at the southwest corner of Madison Square Park, Broadway and East 23rd Street, at 11am. If you can't make it, print out a self-guided tour brochure and stop by at your leisure.

3/23/2012, Friday: movie screening, A River Runs Through It,  at Sony Wonder Lab:
A River Runs Through It
The Sony Wonder Technology Lab hosts a Friday-afternoon screening of the Academy Award–winning film A River Runs Through It. Starring Craig Sheffer and Brad Pitt, the 1992 box-office hit takes place in Montana circa 1910 and follows two brothers over 25 years. In adulthood, their lives follow disparate paths, yet their common history—and their reverence for fly-fishing—brings them together; it also highlights their differences. Against a backdrop of rivers, sun and mountains, the film explores the grandeur of nature and the mystery of those closest to us. The movie starts at 3pm. Reservations for screenings at the Sony Wonder Technology Lab can be made beginning on the Monday of the week the film shows by calling 212-833-8100. Remaining tickets are distributed on a first-come, first-served basis 30 minutes before the start of the screening.
